About Eleni

Movement has been part of my life for as long as I can remember.

I am a fitness trainer, Pilates instructor and movement coach based in Vienna, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education and Sports Science, a specialisation in Taekwondo Coaching, and over a decade of experience teaching and coaching movement.

My approach today is shaped not only by my academic education and professional training, but by a lifetime of being an athlete, coach and student of movement.

From athlete to coach

My journey with movement began at the age of four, when I started practising Taekwondo.

As a child, I quickly became involved in competition and continued competing until the age of 19. Throughout those years, I participated in national and international competitions and achieved a number of wins and distinctions.

Competition taught me much more than physical technique. It taught me discipline, consistency, body awareness, precision, resilience and the importance of understanding how the body performs under pressure.

Sport became a way of understanding movement from the inside — not only how to perform a movement, but how to learn it, refine it and develop it over time.

Education & coaching

My passion for movement eventually led me to study Physical Education and Sports Science, where I specialised in Taekwondo Coaching.

My academic education gave me a broader understanding of human movement, physical development, training methodology and coaching. It also gave me the tools to look beyond one particular sport or training method and understand movement as something that can be developed, adapted and taught in different ways.

Alongside my academic studies, I continued expanding my professional education through Pilates, Reformer Pilates, sports massage and other fitness disciplines.

More than a decade of teaching and coaching

For over a decade, I have been teaching and coaching people with different bodies, backgrounds, abilities and goals.

Working with different movement disciplines has taught me that there is no single exercise, pace or method that is automatically right for everyone.

A beginner may need time to understand the fundamentals.

Someone returning to movement may need a different starting point.

Someone who sits at a desk all day may need mobility and strength.

An athlete may need a greater level of control, coordination and physical challenge.

The role of a good coach is to recognise those differences and adapt the training accordingly.

My approach today

Today, Pilates is an important part of my work, particularly through the classical approach and its emphasis on control, breathing, precision and body awareness.

But my work goes beyond Pilates.

My background in competitive sport, academic study and coaching allows me to bring a broader movement perspective to every session. I look at the person in front of me, understand where they are starting from, and build the training around what they need.

I want people to become stronger, more capable and more confident in their bodies — while also learning to understand how they move.

For me, training is not simply about completing an exercise.

It is about learning, progressing and building a better relationship with movement.
